Kate grew up in the ballet world, taking classes, participating in
summer intensive programs, and performing in ballets all through her childhood.
She always harbored aslight obsession with musicals, however, so she
transitioned to theatre when she attended the University of California, Irvine
(B.A., high honors in musical theatre). Then, after a few years doing regional
theatre and summer stock after college, she was accepted into the Oxford School
of Drama's post-graduate degree program in drama. She has performed many lead
roles in regional theatre productions and in festivals in the US and in the UK
(the leads in Guys and Dolls, The Music Man, The Sound of Music, My Fair
Lady, Brigadoon, Sweeney Todd, and countless concerts, cabarets, ballets,
and original works), and for the past 6 years, she's been teaching
voice, ballet, and musical theatre techniques in New York City to Broadway
professionals, Broadway hopefuls, and kids. She's thrilled to be a member of In
